FATE DOES NOT DEFINE YOUR DESTINY, IT ONLY ENDS IT
I don't know how to write the first page of my story much less the first line. But my lips first movement was clearly not a word, it was a sound. One of tears and pain. In Africa ( and i think the whole world entirely) myths are told that these tears are symbolic of what lies ahead for a child in a world so dark full of sorrow and evil. (at least thats what I was told). Not what i believe; surely not what should define us.
Like Mowgli thrust into the jungle at such a tender age. The beast Shere-Khan ( nomenclature probably symbolises by the burns on his face) dared to do this to this innocent kid. As a kid reading through the authors words,my heart was supposed to be filled with tons of hate towards this evil tiger but as a man in my grown age, i get to discover this was just the child's beginning and not his end. His fate but not his destiny. Mowgli (being the little young innocent kid he was) was supposed to cross his arms hugging himself so tightly hoping for a miracle to come his way, as the story continues this was not an option at the table and certainly is one he never took.At a later date in his grown life as a wolf he had the chance to join the red-flower army, Mowgli looked the other way and chose to strive on in a jungle only the foxes and a cunning bear could stand his presence. There is more to this story than meets the eye.
In life, we only meet fate twice, once on the dates of our conception and finally at the time of our death. Between those two intervals only we have the power to direct and define our destiny.
Like Mowgli fate brought me too into this world a crying simpleton kid. However it doesn't define who I am. A blacksmith would argue the finest iron passes through the hottest fire. I am the fire and life is the iron... wait... its the other way round or maybe not.
Its what you make it to be.
I doubt if anyone truly knows there fate much less its hollow to think that our fate is written on some sort of golden tablets of stone for all to see. Golden or Silver neither seems to make sense... I stand to be corrected. Only we write our stories.
I might not have control over the first chapters of my story much less the first line but I believe we have control over how our stories will end, be it good or bad, boring or interesting. NAME IT.
Only God knows when to turn the last page of our story. For as long as mother nature smiles upon me, I will keep on moving, define my destiny and own my fate. All I need is within me.
